Welcome to our 2016-2017 dance season! We are so happy to have our returning dancers back and excited to meet new ones! We are glad you are here and we are looking forward to another exciting year of learning, hard work, and a huge amount of FUN!!! Please read and hold onto this newsletter, it is full of important information you will need to get you through the year.

E-Mail – Email is our primary way of communicating important information and updates. Please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book as our bulk emails come from this address and some email filters view them as spam. If you do not have an email address, please make sure to check weekly with the office to stay up to date!
Proper Dress – Backstage will be selling dancewear and dance shoes in Studio B during registration. Students are required to wear proper dance attire to all classes. Proper shoes are required for Tap, Jazz and Ballet. Street clothes and shoes are only permitted in Hip-Hop. Anyone dressed improperly will be asked to sit and watch.
Parking – Millville-Oxford is a very busy highway, so please be careful when you enter and exit the studio. Please enter via the black pavement and continue to the small blacktop entrance to the left into the gravel lot to park in the designated area. Do not park on the blacktop; it is to be used by staff only. Please enter only onto the blacktop and exit only from the gravel lane. Feel free to avoid the hectic parking lot and take advantage of the additional parking on the other side of the fence, next to the gravel driveway that is used to exit the studio.
Safety – Please help us to keep the studio safe and clean. For your safety please keep children from playing in the parking lot. No one is permitted in the barns and/or fenced horse areas. The owners of the deer next door have asked that we keep away from the deer and not allow people to feed them; please abide by this. Smoking is not allowed in the studio. Food and drinks should be consumed outside or in the office only, please do not eat and drink in the studio. Please be sure to clean up after yourselves and your children!
Lost & Found - The Lost & Found is located in the studio office; please check for your belongings frequently. Items will be donated to charity on a quarterly basis.
Payment Schedule – Tuition payments are due by the 15th of the month, even if the studio isn’t open on the 15th. A $15 late fee is automatically assessed to each account not paid by the end of business on the 15th. If the office is closed you can leave a payment in the locked drop box outside the office door, or send us an email with credit card information.
Recital – The end of year recital will be held during the first week of June 2017. The recital and rehearsals will be held at Parrish Auditorium - Miami University, Hamilton.
Costumes – We begin taking recital costume measurements, orders and deposits in October. Further information will be distributed in a few weeks.
Inclement Weather – During inclement weather it may be necessary to cancel classes. We will update our website and the outgoing phone message at the studio as soon as a decision is made to close. 2016-2017 FAMILY TUITION RATES
$30.00 Annual registration fee - $15.00 for each additional family member.
30 Minute Classes
1 class/week = $35/month
2 classes/week = $65/month
3 classes/week = $95/month
4 classes/week = $120/month
Each additional class $25/month
Advanced Acro Class - $55*

NO REFUNDS OR REDUCTIONS FOR MISSED CLASSES.
Monthly tuition is due by the 15th of each month. If payment is not received by the end of business on the 15th, a $15.00 late fee will automatically be assessed to your account. All tuition, costume balances and other fees (including late fees) must be paid in full by May 15th or students may not be permitted to participate in the recital. Tuition payments can be made by MasterCard, Visa, Check or Cash. A $35.00 service charge is assessed for any returned check. If the office isn’t open, you can always leave your payment in the locked drop box outside the office door.
When you register for dance you are signing up for the entire school year. Many of our classes fill up at the beginning of the year and potential students are turned away. If you drop out before the end of the year we may not be able to fill the vacancies. If you find that you must withdraw, you must give a two week written notice to the office. Please do not leave a message on the answering machine or tell a teacher you are withdrawing. We have a withdrawal form that you can fill out in the office, or you can send an email. If a 2 week written notice is not received, you will be obligated to pay the next month’s tuition
Tuition is based on an annual fee divided into equal monthly installments. The monthly rate is based on the total number of classes taken by all members of a household. Each month will have a varying number of classes depending on the day of the week that your child comes to class. Some months may have three lessons while others have four or five. It does not matter which day of the week your child comes to class, by the end of the year each class will meet at least 33 times. Classes cancelled due to bad weather and absences can be made up with a similar class.
